One day a ball struck him with great force between the eyes and total blindness subsequently ensued. Since this misfortune befell him he has learned to play the autoharp and other instruments with wonderful skill." Yes: Blind Musician Well-Known in Harrisburg (Played many instruments. Preferred Mandolin & Guitar). BLIND MUSICIAN DEAD A well-known figure to all Harrisburgers, Nelson Thomas Green, the blind colored musician who has for years walked the streets and furnished music to the pedestrians, died last night at the age of 37 years. He was born and raised in this city and was a genius in the musical line having mastered the different instruments by ear alone. The mandolin and guitar were his favorites and either the one or the other of these was his constant companion. The funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o 'clock from the home of his sister, Mrs. Katie Johnson, 1109 Hickory avenue, where he resided. Rev. W. H. Marshall, pastor of the Harris Zion A. M. E. church, will be in charge and interment will take place in the Lincoln Cemetery.
