  Notes	Harrisburg Telegraph - 17 Jul 1939 - Page 3 Services Wednesday For Walter J. Hooper Walter J. Betram Hooper, 51, undertaker of 604 Forster street, died Saturday in a Philadelphia hospital following an illness of eight weeks. He had been in the undertaking business in Harrisburg since 1912. A son of the late Thomas A. and Eleanora Lee Hooper, he was born in Philadelphia, August 11, 1887. He attended Temple University and Echels College of Embalming. Hooper was a charter member of the Capital City Undertakers Association; a charter member of the Forster Street Y.M.C.A., on the board of directors there, and a trustee of Bethel A. M. E. Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Price Hooper, three children, Eleanor, Millicent and Walter, Jr., all at home, the following brothers and sisters, William, Thomas, Milton, Mrs. Anna Good, Mrs. Emma Tyler, Philadelphia; George, Steelton, and Mrs. Alma Nottingham, Englewood, N.J. Services will be at the Bethel A. M. E. Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. M.L. Blalock, presiding elder of the Philadelphia A M. E. Zion Church, and the Rev. P.C. Williams, Bethel A.M.E. Church, will officiate, Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Friends may call at the home from 7 to 9 p. m. Tuesday.
