  Notes	Mrs. Mary J. Price. Mrs. Marv J. Price, widow of Henry H. Price, died at her late residence, No. 224 North Second street, on Saturday morning, March 29th, in the 70th year of her age. Mrs. Price was born near Annapolis, Md. in the year 1820. She moved to Harrisburg with her husband in 1841, and resided on Market street. In 1843 she removed to No. 224 North Second street, her husband having purchased the property where she has since resided. She has been long known, especially to our oldest citizens, having carried on successfully for over forty years in the wig and hair business. Her husband, Henry H. Price, carried on the barbering business on Second street and Market street, and died in 1862 at Georgetown, D. C. Mrs. Price was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive her: Mrs. Ann E. Higgins, of Bethlehem, Pa. ; Mrs. Addie Nicholson, of Boston, Mass. ; Mrs. Mary Thornton, of Harrisburg: Mrs. Jennie B. Stewart of Pittsburgh; Lonzo Price of Olean, N.Y. ; Augustus and Clarence of Harrisburg. Alice and Henry Price died in childhood, William Price died about ten years ago. He left a widow and three children, one of which, Minnie, made her home with her grandmother. Mrs. Price joined Market Square Presbyterian church in 1869. and has lived the life of a Christian. She was a kind and affectionate mother.devoted to her home, her children and her church. She was a most remarkable woman for evenness of temper, as one of her daughters says she never in all her life heard her say an unkind word to anyone. She was be loved by all who knew her. Six weeks ago she was stricken with her fatal illness the first time in her life to be bed-fast. At times suffering a great deal, she bore it with that same calm Christian resignation that was so characteristic of her life. Mrs. Price's funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon, April 1st, at 2 o'clock, from Market Square Presbyterian church. Harrisburg Telegraph - 31 Mar 1890 - Page 1
