  Notes	As early as 1883, and perhaps before, Turner G. Fletcher was one of three Black men in the dog catcher business in Harrisburg. Perhaps this contributed to the odd commentary in his obituary which stated, "Fletcher was friendless" (Harrisburg Telegraph - 20 May 1904 - Page 11). "Turner Fletcher, well known once upon a time as dog-catcher, died yesterday noon after a six months sickness of tuberculosis. His funeral expenses will be, borne by P. H. Vaughn, for whom he formerly worked. Interment will be made in Lincoln Cemetery. Fletcher was friendless."
