  Notes	Ezekiel White served in Company K. 25th U.S. Colored Infantry in the Civil War. He enlisted on Feb 12, 1864 at Philadelphia, PA. His records state he was an 18 year old farmer born in Lancaster, Co, PA. 5' 7-1/2" tall with a yellow complexion, gray eyes and black hair. He was appointed Corporal of Company K. on Feb 21, 1864 and Sergeant on June 22, 1864. His regiment sailed for New Orleans where they served in the Department of the Gulf and later in the 3rd Brigade , 1st Division, U.S. Colored Troops, District of West Florida. The regiment was mustered out of the service on Dec 6, 1865 at Philadelphia. He received an Army Invalid Pension for his service in the Civil War and following his death his mother Sarah A. White received an Army Dependents Pension beginning on Jan 10, 1890. His name appears on Plaque B-41 on the National African American Civil War Soldiers Monument in Washington, DC A government headstone was shipped to Bethel Graveyard to mark his grave as a veteran of the Civil War.
